Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, 4:30 PM. Please bring family and friends out this Saturday to celebrate Jesus’ birth. We will not have nursery but the service is intended to be family friendly.

It is an encouraging time for our church family as well as for guests. An offering will also be taken which will be given to Union Mission to aid in their ministry to the homeless in our area.

Sunday, June 12. Rev. Jeremy Mullen, the Reformed University Fellowship campus minister at Harvard University, will be preaching. A freewill offering will be taken during the service in order to set aside money for the potential of building new education space and a larger fellowship space.

We have Sunday school classes for all ages. The adult Sunday school classes include: An Inquirers’ Class in the sanctuary; God’s Mission: Interactive, a new class will meet in the fellowship hall (see details below); and a college and career class on Living in a Pluralistic Society: Judges, Daniel, and Joseph in the small fellowship hall in the education building.

New Adult Class Starts June 12: “God’s Mission: Interactive.” How does God’s character connect with our calling? How can serving Christ be a means of knowing Christ, rather than a burden? How and where do I serve if I’m not in “official” church leadership? This class is about making theology (knowing God) practical and relational, and will provide foundations for serving Christ at NCPC or anywhere. Format will include shorter lessons combined with smaller group discussion. Led by Ken Shomo (and others!) in the fellowship hall.

Friday, Apr. 22, Tenebrae Service, 7 PM. The purpose of the service is to recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events of Jesus' death, and it is left unfinished, because the story isn’t over until Easter Day.

Easter Sunday, Apr. 24. We begin our celebration of Jesus’ resurrection with a Sunrise Service at 7 AM followed by breakfast. At 8:30 there will be a Children’s Resurrection Celebration Party for kids pre-K through 5th grade. Our Easter worship service is at 9:30 AM. No Sunday school or evening meetings will be held today.

Sunday, Jan. 2, Communion Sunday, Welcome & Fellowship Brunch. We will have a church-wide fellowship brunch during the Sunday school hour. There will be no Sunday school classes, so that everyone may participate. Since we do expect visitors, all families are requested to please bring your favorite main dish. For those whose last name begins with A through L, also bring a salad or side dish as able. For those whose last name begins with M through Z, also bring a dessert as able. Singles, please provide a side dish of your choice or snack items. We look forward to this time of fellowship and invite all visitors to join us!

Wednesday, January 5, Breakout! at 6pm. This is a ministry and outreach to families. We eat together at 6pm prior to music and lessons for all age groups. All are welcome!

On January 9, Sunday School classes will resume, with new classes for adults offered as well. Stay tuned!
